Quality from Switzerland – A Look Behind the Scenes at traconiq
Together with our partner KYBURZ Switzerland AG, we’ve developed part of our hardware from the ground up ourselves—and we consistently manufacture it in Switzerland.
We recently had the opportunity to visit our manufacturer, Aafag AG, and gain fascinating insights into the production of our devices. It’s impressive to see the precision and expertise with which they work here.
A special highlight: Aafag AG developed a custom programming and testing adapter specifically for our product. This allows four devices to be processed in parallel—the firmware is automatically installed while a comprehensive functional test is performed simultaneously.
It is precisely these well-thought-out processes that enable us to deliver the highest quality and ensure that our devices perform reliably in the field.

6 Months of LSVA III at Planzer – Initial Insights from Real-World Experience
After half a year of our new LSVA III solution being in production at Planzer, our CEO Armin Marty met with Patrick Gnepf (project manager at Planzer) to discuss the experience.
Patrick closely oversaw the implementation and offers a clear summary.
The key insights from Planzer’s perspective:
🚛 Physical trailer detection is crucial:
Our decision to use physical detection was absolutely the right one. Without this safeguard, we’d be facing a problem today. The separation—hardware for detection, Bluetooth for identification—ensures that the process remains stable even in the event of a transmitter failure or when dealing with third-party trailers.
👨🔧Our drivers can focus on what matters most:
Whereas in the past, drivers had to interact with the Emotach during every coupling process—which carried a certain risk of data entry errors—today’s process is fully automated. This significantly reduces the workload for drivers, and their satisfaction is correspondingly high.
🔍Transparency & Controlling at a New Level:
Through reporting, we link up-to-date information directly with the billing records. The reconciliation of telematics and billing data gives us a level of transparency we didn’t have before. Administrative effort has been reduced to a minimum.
Looking Ahead:
For Planzer, this is just the beginning. The new database now makes it possible to manage processes even more precisely, consolidate operational data, and identify opportunities for optimization that go far beyond mere billing.
